I just realized that the 3 starter Pokemon are equal and can take out each other, sorry about my previous comment on this photo, I've had a change of heart so i believe that Empoleon, Infernape and Torterra are equally awesome!

That's why I have 3 of those Pokemon in my party.

This proves that Empoleon is the best starter Pokemon in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl.

I know that most people say that Infernape is the best starter but they are wrong because they haven't seen a fire monkey take a dragon out and Torterra is slow and is also weak to ice attacks just like Dragons so Ice Beam can take him out.

Empoleon has very high defense so a neutral nature Empoleon can survive a close combat from a neutral nature Infernape and kill Infernape with surf and since Empoleon is a little bit faster than Torterra it gets to attack 1st with Ice Beam.

Empoleon rules, so the haters should learn to accept the truth.
